What it is
A tool first.
It uses replaceable blades. Half of a standard double-edge blade clamps into a hinged plate. When it dulls, you replace it. That is the whole maintenance story — no honing, no stropping, no slow decline to compensate for.
It is not a traditional cut-throat. A fixed, permanently sharpened blade is a craft to maintain. This is the barber’s answer: the same exposed edge and the same close result, without a strop, a hone and the years.
The edge is fully exposed. That is the point, and the risk. There is no guard between the blade and skin. Treat it as a barber does.
It arrives without blades. Order a pack of standard double-edge blades at the same time.

Which blades does it take?

Will it hold the blade properly?
The blade seats in the plate and the plate closes over it. A blade that sits crooked or slips is the most common complaint about cheap folding razors generally — if yours does not seat cleanly, do not shave with it. Return it through Amazon and tell us at [email protected].
Can I take it in hand luggage?
Not with a blade in it — razor blades are not permitted in cabin baggage on UK flights. The handle alone is a different question and airline rules vary, so ask your airline rather than taking our word for it.
How do I dispose of used blades?
In a blade bank or a sealed rigid container — never loose in a bin, where they injure whoever empties it. Many barbers and some pharmacies take a full blade bank.

Is there an age restriction?
Yes. Razors are age-restricted in the UK and this is sold to over-18s only; age is verified through the Amazon checkout and on delivery.
